Polyester film, that is, polyethylene terephthalate film, is a film made of high-quality polyester chips as the main raw material, using advanced process formula, after drying, melting, extrusion, casting and stretching. Since 1948 the British Imperial Chemical Company (I .C. I) and the United States DuPont Company (DUPONT) developed polyester film, and in 1953 to achieve the industrial production of biaxially oriented polyester film, polyester film in many fields have a wide range of applications. Polyester films for different purposes have different requirements for raw materials and additives, as well as processing technology, and their thickness and technical indicators are also different. According to the different stretching processes used in the production of polyester film, it can be divided into the following two types: Uniaxial stretching polyester film is a film made of polyester chips as raw materials, after drying, melting, extrusion, casting and longitudinal stretching. Uniaxially stretched polyester film has the lowest grade and price in polyester film. As a new industrial material with excellent physical and chemical properties and continuous modification, biaxially oriented polyester film is widely used in many fields, and continues to expand its application fields with the pace of social development. Due to the narrow application field of uniaxially stretched polyester film and less usage, biaxially stretched polyester film is widely used and has excellent performance. Therefore, the current production of polyester film generally uses two-way stretching technology, polyester film generally also refers to two-way stretch ester film.
